Dr Jeremy Woodward
Gastro-enterologist
I am a 'luminal' gastroenterologist - meaning that I specialise in the diseases of 'hollow organs' from mouth to anus (bottom). This includes a range of symptoms ranging from heartburn and dyspepsia, to abdominal pain, unexplained weight loss, constipation and diarrhoea. My practice involves conditions such as gastro-oesophageal reflux, coeliac disease, food intolerances and allergies, irritable bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel diseases. I am an expert in nutrition support which includes tube feeding and intravenous nutrition, and the specialist management of intestinal failure, refractory coeliac disease and intestinal transplantation.
I work at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, and provide a private clinical practice in the Cambridge Spire Lea Hospital and the Cambridge Nuffield Health Hospital.
- I provide COVID secure consultations by telephone, video or face-to-face. To find out more or to arrange a private appointment please click here.
- I carry out a range of endoscopic procedures including gastroscopy, colonoscopy (for which I am accredited as a bowel cancer screening practitioner) and video capsule enteroscopy ('pillcam'). For more information about procedures please click here.
- I also carry out medicolegal work as an expert witness. For more information about this please click here.
